Help Shamell Continue Her Journey of Faith and Ministry
Seeking a Sponsor for Her Bible School Education
Last year, Joneva Shamell P. Florida entered the Center for Biblical Studies Institute and Seminary with a prayerful heart and a desire to prepare herself for the ministry to which God has called her.
After praying for nearly two years for the opportunity to attend Bible school, the Lord opened the door for her to begin her studies. By God’s grace, she has now successfully completed her freshman year—a year filled with spiritual growth, academic challenges, ministry opportunities, and many lessons of faith.
Today, Shamell has been admitted for her second year by faith. Although the full financial provision for the school year has not yet been secured, she has chosen to continue trusting the Lord who called her and faithfully provided for her during her first year.
More Than an Education
Shamell’s time in Bible school is not simply about earning an education. It is preparation for a lifetime of serving Christ and reaching others with the Gospel.
During her freshman year, she studied subjects that strengthened her understanding of God’s Word, including Evangelism and Hermeneutics. These courses helped deepen her burden for lost souls and taught her how to study, understand, and faithfully communicate the Scriptures.
Her training also extended beyond the classroom. Every Sunday, she had the opportunity to teach children at Hilltop Life Baptist Church. She also participated in weekly outreach ministry, where she helped teach, sing, pray, and share God’s Word with children in the community.
Through these experiences, the Lord has continued to confirm her calling and strengthen her desire to be used in His service.
A Journey of Faith
Her first year was not without difficulty.
Shamell had to adjust to living away from her family, overcome homesickness, manage the demands of her studies, and fulfill her responsibilities as a working scholar. There were also moments when financial pressures and personal struggles caused her to consider whether she could continue.
Yet the Lord remained faithful.
God used her teachers, mentors, church family, relatives, sponsors, and other believers to encourage her and provide for her needs. Through every challenge, she learned to trust God more deeply, remain faithful in small responsibilities, and depend upon His strength.
Now, as she begins another school year, she is once again stepping forward by faith.
An Invitation to Partner in Her Training
Calaca Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking an individual sponsor who would be willing to support Shamell’s full annual Bible school expenses.
This sponsorship will help provide for her tuition, school fees, accommodation, meals, learning materials, transportation, and other necessary expenses throughout the school year.
Supporting Shamell is more than helping a student remain in school. It is an opportunity to invest in the training of a future Christian worker who desires to teach God’s Word, share the Gospel, minister to children, and serve faithfully wherever the Lord may lead her.
A sponsor becomes a meaningful partner in this ministry journey. Every lesson she learns, every child she teaches, every soul she reaches, and every ministry she serves will be part of the lasting fruit of that partnership.
As Paul wrote:
> “Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.”
We invite individual believers who have a heart for missions, Christian education, and the training of future ministry workers to prayerfully consider supporting Shamell for this school year.
You may sponsor her full annual school expenses or speak with us regarding a sponsorship arrangement.
Above all, we ask you to pray:
* That God will provide for all her educational needs;
* That she will remain faithful and diligent in her studies;
* That she will continue growing in wisdom, character, and spiritual maturity;
* That the Lord will use her training to reach many people with the Gospel; and
* That God will raise up a faithful sponsor who will partner with her in this journey.
Shamell has entered her second year trusting that the God who called her will also provide for her.
Perhaps the Lord may use you as part of His provision.
